Our Story
Whimsical is a playful style of fashion with a touch of the unexpected. Our working philosophy has always been to create artwork which is honest and one of a kind.
Engineered hand-painted prints and textural hand-crafted embroidery are our forte for creating magic on garments that are conversational and exquisite.
The Creator
The label was launched by Shikha Dass Ghalsasi, a Fashion Design graduate from NIFT, Mumbai, with a certification from FIT, New York.
After a decade of experience in the export market — working with Bill Blass in New York and heading the design studio at The Creative Group in Delhi and Mumbai with labels like Alberta Ferretti and Vera Wang — this label is her foray into the Indian fashion scene. Nevertheless, the designing still continues to be global and inventive.
We tend to make individualistic ensembles that are unique and handmade, making it special for the wearer and the maker.
